Ever since I was young, I have been interested in programming.

Alwin de Koop

Works at CodeGorilla

Alwin is 36 years old. He worked as a graphic designer, as a print operator at a printing company and as a 3D visual artist for architects. In his spare time, he likes to experiment with his 3D-printer. Next to that, Alwin is sportive: he loves to hike and exercise. He even worked as a personal trainer. When it comes to programming, both front end and back end have his interest. Therefore he would like to work as a full stack developer. His languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Laravel framework, MySQL and NodeJS.

Thinking in solutions

At his former workplace, Alwin managed to repair a laminator all by himself, by replacing the broken parts with newly designed and 3D-printed parts. This exemplifies his ability to creatively and technically detect and solve problems. Although he sometimes lacks focus, the CodeGorilla bootcamp really gave him the confidence to change the course of his career. Alwin is perfectly able to figure things out himself, so he is very independent, but he’s a great team player as well.

His own pace

After completing the bootcamp, Alwin would like a full time job as a back end developer at a firm where he can evolve himself into the full stack developer he wants to be. He is aware of the fact that the world of programming is changing fast, so he’s never done learning. He’s determined to get the most out of it, by concentrating on programming at his own pace.
